Buying another truck, upgrading a machine or taking on a bigger job can put pressure on cash flow. At the same time, equipment you already own may have value that is tied up in an existing finance contract.
MKP Equipment Line helps businesses explore whether they can use that value to make their next move. By reviewing the equipment, its current finance and its remaining working life, we can assess whether refinancing could release capital or create more room in your monthly budget.
MKP Equipment Line is a finance solution built around plant, vehicles and equipment your business already uses. As you repay an equipment loan, the amount owing may fall while the asset continues to work and retain value. Depending on the asset and your circumstances, it may be possible to refinance against that value.
It is one way to put your existing equipment to work for your business again, without necessarily selling it.
Make room for another purchase. If a new truck or machine would help you take on more work, releasing value from existing assets could contribute to the purchase or support your working capital while you grow.
Ease pressure on cash flow. Refinancing may allow repayments to be structured around the equipment’s remaining useful life. This could reduce monthly commitments, although extending a finance term may increase the total cost of borrowing.
Review existing debt. If several equipment contracts have built up over time, we can look at how they fit together and whether a different structure would better suit the way your business operates.
For example, a transport business may have a truck that is still earning revenue well beyond the end of its original finance term. Rather than looking only at a new loan for its next vehicle, the business could review the value and finance position of its existing fleet first.
MKP can review a range of business assets, including trucks and trailers, light commercial vehicles, earthmoving and mining equipment, arbor equipment and woodworking machinery. Contracts more than halfway through their term may be suitable for review, but this is a guide rather than a guarantee of eligibility.
The outcome depends on factors such as the equipment’s current value and condition, the amount still owing, the proposed finance structure and credit approval.
You do not need to know how much equity is in your equipment before speaking with us. Tell us what assets you have, what you still owe and what you want to achieve. We can help you assess the options and explain the likely costs and trade-offs before you decide what to do next.
