Internship Program

Who:

University students in the final 24 months (or less) of their degree.

You are interested in a career in business, and enjoy the thought of working in a supportive team environment

Qualifications:

Degrees in economics, commerce, business and finance all suit, however we have employees in our finance division with degrees in mathematics, science, engineering, humanities, political science, and law.

We believe a degree is less about the content and more about the way it helps you think critically, analyse a source and formulate an argument.

Your role:

This is a permanent, casual role based in our office (with work-from-home flexibility). You are working in a middle office working with the sales team and financiers to process loan transactions. You are seconded for periods to work in the sales team alongside a senior executive who will give you first-hand experience of transacting.

Benefits:

  • Rostering system that fits in with your university studies
  • Task rotation to expose you to a range of roles within the division
  • Engagement and mentorship from top staff within the business
  • Structured training in accounting, lending, sales and business strategy
  • Secondment program to the sales team

Career progression

Successful interns progress to roles within our graduate program with 6 months (full time) or 12 months (part time) remaining in their degree.

Graduate Program

Who:

Recent university graduates or studends with 6 months full time or 12 months part time remaining in your university studies.

Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree. We do not expect that you have had any other ‘proper job.’ We are interested in:

  • Your extra curricular activities – sports, clubs, games, debating
  • Any leadership roles you have had at school or university
  • That you have demonstrated an interest in business

Your role:

This is a full-time, client-facing, sales focused role. You have a company car and are both working in the office (or at home) and on the road meeting with our key equipment vendor partners and clients.

You have a senior leader as your manager and you receive both informal, and structured, formal training on all aspects of commercial asset finance.

Benefits

  • Full time graduate position with company car
  • Daily interaction with directors, CEOs and other decision makers of our clients
  • Ability to influence outcomes – the opposite of what you get working at a bank or consulting firm
  • On the road meeting with clients and introducers

Career progression

Completing the graduate program takes you into a manager role within the business where you manage a significant portfolio of active clients, with the objective to grow that portfolio.
