There are few more iconic sights in Sydney than Luna Park. For over 80 years, the smiling gates have welcomed visitors from all corners of the world to the harbourside amusement park.

MKP are proud to partner with Luna Park to ensure the heritage listed site has a future as a world-class amusement venue, fit for the 21st century.

In financing Luna Park’s recent $36 million upgrade, which includes nine new state-of-the-art rides and updates to existing attractions, Moody Kiddell continues a relationship with Luna Park that has spanned over two decades.

We are also pleased that the size of the investment financed by MKP has been highlighted by NSW Minister for Jobs, Investment & Tourism, Stuart Ayres as a significant boost for Sydney’s economy, which will “create hundreds of jobs, help boost local tourism, and assist in the economic recovery of NSW post COVID-19. It is yet another sign of confidence in NSW and our economic future – and a sign of confidence that Sydney is back in business.”

Tailoring our MKP Loan Arrangement Services to Luna Park’s needs, MKP was able to offer a transparent agreement with fixed fees, fixed deliverables, concrete timing, milestones, outcomes and more to secure financing for what Luna Park’s Managing Director called “a special project”.

“Moody Kiddell and Partners and Luna Park have had a relationship for over 20 years and they were the first and only firm we approached. The 9 Ride Project is a significant investment and we needed someone we could trust - it was a special project. The time they invested to understand recent changes to legislation, our research into the rides, the strategy and objectives for each ride, and the complexity of the funding is a reflection of the manner in which the business and its employees operate. We thank MKP wholeheartedly for supporting us through this journey.” Peter Hearne, Luna Park, Sydney.
